These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and chauffeured transportation services provided by Prism Lux Transportation (“Prism Lux”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By booking a ride or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting a quote, making a reservation, or riding with us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you book on behalf of others, you are responsible for ensuring they understand and follow these Terms.
2. Our Services
Prism Lux provides premium, pre-arranged chauffeured transportation in California, including airport transfers, point-to-point trips, hourly hire, and special-occasion travel. We are a private hire service and do not offer street-hail or on-demand rides.
3. Bookings & Reservations
Reservations are confirmed once we send you a written confirmation. To serve you well, please provide accurate pickup and drop-off details, timing, passenger count, and any special requests. We recommend booking in advance, as availability is limited and not guaranteed.
4. Pricing, Payment & Gratuities
Quoted rates are based on the details you provide. Additional charges may apply for extra stops, wait time, tolls, parking, extended distance, or changes made after booking. Payment is due as stated in your confirmation. Gratuities are appreciated and, where noted, may be added to your fare.
5. Cancellations, Changes & No-Shows
Plans change, and we will always do our best to accommodate you. Cancellations or changes made close to the pickup time, or no-shows, may be subject to a fee as described in your confirmation. Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.
6. Client Responsibilities & Conduct
To keep every ride safe and comfortable, passengers agree to:
Wear seat belts and follow the chauffeur’s reasonable safety instructions.
Refrain from illegal activity, and from smoking or vaping in the vehicle.
Respect the vehicle’s passenger and luggage capacity.
Accept responsibility for any damage caused by a passenger beyond normal use.
7. Delays, Route & Force Majeure
We plan carefully, but we are not responsible for delays or missed connections caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as traffic, weather, road closures, or other force-majeure events. Chauffeurs choose safe, efficient routes using their professional judgment.
8. Vehicles & Availability
We reserve the right to substitute a comparable or upgraded vehicle when necessary to fulfill your booking. Vehicle images on our website are for illustration and the exact vehicle may vary.
9. Liability & Insurance
Prism Lux maintains commercial insurance as required by California law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the services is limited to the amount paid for the affected trip. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Lost & Found
Please check for personal belongings before leaving the vehicle. We are not responsible for items left behind, but we will make reasonable efforts to return recovered property. Contact us promptly if you believe something was left in one of our vehicles.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or our services will be handled in the appropriate courts located in California.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and your continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
